Twenty wine estates in Crezancy en Sancerre have invested in a hydraulic press for the recycling of plastics from their wineries.
Plastics are separated into two categories, plastic sheets (around empty bottles pallets) and other plastics (stretch film and different plastics). A first selection is important because the recycling process is not the same according to the two categories, the sheets being 100% recyclable.
The hydraulic press allows condensing plastic bales so to significantly reduce the volume for storage and transport. Then, these plastic bales are collected by a company specialized in recycling.
