The Gîte du Puits is situated in the heart of the Sancerre vineyards, where you can enjoy an unforgettable stay.

Here you will find peace and quiet, and perhaps feel inspired to visit the estate’s cellar, located just a few metres away.

By walking along the vineyard paths, you can easily climb to a higher vantage point to admire the beautiful Sancerre countryside.

You’ll observe the varied terrain, each section contributing a distinctive terroir to the wine.

The gîte is situated near the old well in the village of Champtin. This historic hamlet is where winegrowers have been cultivating vines for many generations.

It was in 2006 that I joined Claude at the Roger CHAMPAULT vineyard, and in 2022 that I purchased a plot of land to build a spacious gîte using high-quality materials.

With its 110m² of single-storey living space and three bedrooms, you’ll enjoy views of the vineyards from the living room/kitchen. You can also make use of the private jacuzzi  from 15 April to 15 September each year.

I was awarded the Gîte de France 3-star rating in my very first year. ​I look forward to giving you a warm welcome so that you can enjoy exploring the Sancerre region, its wines and its way of life.

You can discover the untamed beauty of the Loire and unspoilt countryside in the wooded pastures of the Pays-Fort, where goats graze for the production of Chavignol cheese.
